Sbloccare Modem Adsl2 Wifi Not Connecting
I have a netgear Adsl2+router from my previous connection, i moved to a new place and decided to take the BSNL FTTH connectionthe guy came did everything and went away but now i want to connect wifi to my BSNL FTTH MODEM ONT404Ican someone tell me if this is possible?, If yes how do i do it.cuz i tried connecting the lan cord which comes out of ont404i modem to the netgear modem.i tried to setup connection using the installation cd but it said ADSL2 not available, now as my connection is not adsl i assume.can i still use that router just as WIFI.do i need to install new softwares? Hi RichieAs far as I know, it is not possible to connect ADSL with an input from another Modem, in this case it is ONT.I too have FTTH connection, took it 18 months back, that time I was asked to by wireless router (Without Modem), first I purchased Dlink, somehow it did not work for me and for my friend too.
Now we are using Cisco without any issues, for some Netgear is also working fine.By the way in which area you are using FTTH, since 3 months their service is good, anyways FTTH is best in Vizag. Switch on your ADSL2+ ROUTER (NETGEAR or other)3. Connect your computer through RJ45 network cable from Ethernet 1(i.e.
First port - as number mentioned in your router)4. Then login into - router(i.e. Or whatever default provided by router company)5 Go to 'Advanced' tab - connection settings (of your WIFI Router / NETGEAR )There you can find 'LAN Settings'6.
LAN - Disable DHCP Server. DHCP Server Off).7. Save & Exit8. RJ45 connection CABLE from AONT modem to your NETGEAR - RJ45 (Ethernet 1 & not other Ethernet ports)Other WIRELESS settings - same as whatever you have already. From the past 3days i'm experiencing internet light and DSL light going off.The DSL light is not constant even for 5min.When the DSL light comes up, the internet light takes almost 5min to comeup or before internet light come up the DSL light goes off.There wasn't problem with my old UT star modem.I already checked,its running fine without disconnection.When i replace it with TD-W8968 router,the problem continues. When my internet connection was good.The SNR margin was like 25 for upstream and 31 for downstream.After 2 days it went mad. When accessing my external ip address I am presented with the logon banner requesting user name and password together with the TP-Link name and model numbers. I would much prefer if I could switch this access and banner off.

It was working alright till a few days back. When i connect and start browsing or downloading, it goes OK.
But after a few hours(sometimes 2, sometimes 1), It stops responding and I couldn`t ping 192.168.1.1 either through WiFi/Ethernet. Status indicators for DSL/WIFI/Internet/LAN all glowing as though nothing wrong with them.? The router is not that much hot when this happens. When i switch off the router and then on, The Prob gets solved only to reappear again in 1/2/3 hrs.

I have no idea how to fix it, I have contacted tp-link support and they say to make sure I have all the right ADSL configuration parameters. For your tech staff on the phone to say 'I'll just have to do this' is completely unacceptable.I have used 3 other modem routers with the exact same setup flawlessly with no disconnections so it's 110% the modem routers problem.I'm pushing this message for you, TP-Link, to release a new firmware version to fix this problem.I also believe there are other problems incorporating port forwarding,etc aside from this major flaw.I used to believe TP-Link was a trusted and great company but after my experience I'll be thinking otherwise.
