I cannot figure out the purpose of this book. It briefly describes a motor's operation, and then delves into the math of how to predict certain aspects of the motor operation. It doesn't really explain how the motor itself really works, or why it turns (most of the time). Yet, at the same time, it's not really in-depth enough to be for experts either. It gives minimal real-world examples, and the chapter examples are pathetic and amount to little more than plugging numbers into equations with vi I cannot figure out the purpose of this book. It doesn't really explain how the motor itself really works, or why it turns (most of the time). Yet, at the same time, it's not really in-depth enough to be for experts either. It gives minimal real-world examples, and the chapter examples are pathetic and amount to little more than plugging numbers into equations with virtually no development of concepts.As far as I can tell, the only way you could understand this book to its fullest is if you already pretty much knew what it was saying. But in that case, you wouldn't be needing to read this book anyways.
