I used the « Mini VCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi » in the 10.30.029 folder that came on the CD from Amazon. After drivers are properly installed and you verify you can see the device connected on the XHorse Firmware Update Tool, you’re GTG. Next up is the Techstream software, from the included CD I ran the « Toyota Techstream 10.30.029.exe ». After installation I went into the C:Program Files (x86)Toyota DiagnosticsTechstreambin folder and replaced the « MainMenu.exe » file with the one found on the CD. You should be able to load up the Techstream link that was installed on your desktop. When it asks to register with a new key, use the key found in the « serie.txt » on the CD. Next you’ll need to update your registry, on the ft86club post there’s a Dropbox link and with a « mvci-x64.reg » file, download this and run it.
Open up Techstream, go to Setup menu, VIM Select, and choose the XHorse – MVCI. This will have Techstream use the XHorse – MVCI cable. If you try to Connect to Vehicle you’ll get a message that forces you to update the software.
To get around this disable your internet connection (turn off wifi and/or unplug your ethernet cable). Now you can start and use Techstream without the force update check. When you connect there’s a counter in Techstream that only allows 30 connections to your car without an internet connection.

To get around this go to the C:Program Files (x86)Toyota DiagnosticsTechstreamEnv folder and open the « IT3UserCustom.ini » file. Towards the bottom there’s a « ConnectionCount » variable, just update this to 1 when you get close to 30 connections.This worked for me hopefully this will save everyone some time/hassle. I would be careful of what you try to update in Techstream. I just updated the unlock so a single press will unlock all the doors. If capable of 64-bit, then they give you a small CD with some special files « XHorse » and it takes a little bravery to mess with your Registry etc.Btw, Many people will not be able to follow the instructions to install the necessary cominents. No judgement here, it is just reality.Which is why I up telling people to stick with using an XP laptop instead.That would be great if you have an XP laptop (or desktop) availableit is definitely a much easier install. Purchased the Mini Vci J2534 TIS Tech Stream to trouble shoot repairs on my 4runners/Prius/Corolla after reading all the good reviews. After receiving the software and cable I messaged the seller though amazon and arranged a time to have Jackli take control of my laptop using the provided TeamViewer software. The provided install instructions are doable if you research the web for information on that subject.I opted to have the seller do the install after reading all the reviews stating how easy the process was. I am installing on a laptop that has no personal information whatsoever, so the choice was easy and the install painless. Just remember to uninstall the TeamViewer when done. Instead of going to the Dealership: having to set up an appointment, argue that it won't void your warranty, and hoping the techs don't mess up your car you can get this instead.I needed to diagnosed which TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor) sensor is bad for my car (2013 Scion FR-S) and it told me Sensor ID 2 was bad.

I used it with my 05 Escalade when the check engine light turned on. It was very easy to use. I pulled up a P0449 code and looked it up online, did a quick search on 'how to' videos on YouTube and I ordered the part from Amazon.
The job took me about 20 mins and it cost me less than $50 (and I got a new code reader out of it). I tried more expensive readers (with more capabilities) but I had to return them because they weren't intuitive enough to use.
I didn't have this problem with the Autel AutoLink AL319. I was able to read the code and then erase it once I changed out the part with ease. Arrived much quicker than expected. I scanned the CD and didn't find any trojans, unusual for a Chinese knock off. It wasn't clear from the description that this needs to be installed on a 32 bit system. Luckily I use VMware workstation and had an XP Virtual Machine available. VMware player is free if you need to use it but you will need to Google for an XP install and Key.The CD came with instructions that were minimal but worked.
You need to run the.MSI file first, connect the cable and let XP install the driver. Once that is done run the.EXE file to install Techstream. Follow in that sequence and you shouldn't have any problems.Don't connect the cable before you run the MSI or you will probably have issues.After that I plugged it into the OBDC II connector, set the key to on and ran Techstream. There are mixed opinions about this interface. Well, I think it is a great device and a must have nowadays.
I bought the wired version because I rather have a dependable communication and I want to have the wireless available for research or updates and so on. I understand the WiFi version might work the same way, but is just personal preference.Note: Any problems with the included software please contact you seller. I tried newer techstream versions with this to start and couldn't get them to display the utility button for key programing. So I installed the ver that came on disk w cable. Disk doesn't have mvci driver so you'll have to get that from obdii365.com.
Installed on win7 64 bit. Need to manually install usb drivers for the cable to be recognized in 64 bit os (there is also a tut for this) do not upgrade firmware on cable. No need for Java install(click no). Worked fine programed another key. Took 20 days to get here from china.
Quick 2-day Amazon Prime delivery. The keys look & feel very similar to my original Toyota key. It took about 3 min to program each key following the instructions from Youtube & they both were programmed successfully on 1st attempt. Used my spare unchipped key & placed these uncut programmed keys next to the ignition, 1 at a time, I was able to start my van consistently several times. Brought them to OSH to get them cut, figured it would be a simple risk free process; unfortunately, they didnt cut them right. One key doesn't work at all & the other key works on 1 side only.
Car keys are symmetrical so both the master key & new key must be inserted in the slot centered to get properly cut. In my case, OSH employee inserted my keys in slanted; therefore.
